When trying to lose weight many people neglect the thing that is most important to their success. They start jogging or doing some other type of cardio which is very important. However they neglect their diet. Did you know that your results are about 70% to 80% of your diet? This is why it’s important to focus on your diet first.
Eating a bunch of healthy meals can be difficult. You don’t have to eat healthy all of the time but you need to eat healthy at least 80% of the time if you want to see major results. You need to make sure you’re eating the 5 or 6 small healthy meals per day. I like to eat smaller versions of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In between each meal I eat a healthy snack and that gives me my 5 meals for the day. If you look at it that way it really isn’t that difficult.

The next thing I do is make sure that I am getting in enough exercise to burn calories. It’s recommended that you get at least 30 minutes of cardio at least 3 to 4 times per week. This doesn’t mean you have to join a gym or run on a treadmill. You can get this exercise by taking a bike ride or playing basketball. You can go on a hike or speed walk. Just make sure you get it done.
The last thing is to make sure you’re active throughout the day. Many people don’t know that you actually burn more calories out of the gym than you do in the gym. You’ll notice that a lot of people that are busy walking around or doing other physical tasks usually don’t gain a lot of weight. Whereas those people who sit at a desk all day have a more difficult time. This is why you need to remember to be active in chores and other tasks that will burn those extra calories.
