Home Exercise Workout Equipment

Author: Laverne Page

Life is busy. Between jobs, housework, family, and errands, the days fly by. Add into that the task of spending time going to the gym, and it just doesn't seem possible for a lot of us. Home exercise equipment and exercise videos are often a great alternative to spending time and money at a gym. If you are planning to start a home exercise routine, you may be wondering what type of exercise equipment you will need to get an effective workout. Often, you will find that you can get the best deals on home exercise equipment online.

First you will need to determine what is your current level of fitness and what goals you wish to accomplish. Your budget and the types of activities you enjoy are major factors as well. If you do not enjoy the exercises you are performing it is very easy to lose interest and quit. The safety of the exercise equipment and the amount of space you have in which to store and use the equipment is also a major concern.

Some of the different types of home exercise equipment are treadmills, elliptical trainers, stationery bicycles, cross-country ski machines, and free weights.

* Treadmills are very popular for use in the home. You can purchase a treadmill in any price range and with basic to advanced functions. You will need a treadmill with solid construction, smooth walking action, a wide belt, incline setting, and a safety cut-off. Make sure you understand the warranty and availability of replacements parts before making your purchase.

* An elliptical trainer gives you a comfortable, non-impact way to exercise and almost anyone can do it. You will be able to adjust the intensity and resistance to fit your current fitness level and change the settings as you progress in your exercise routine. Elliptical trainers vary in price and you should check out several models before making a purchase to make sure you find the best deal that you can possibly find on a well-constructed machine that carries an excellent warranty.

* Stationary bikes give you a no-impact, comfortable way to exercise and will take up very little space. Exercise bikes are great for those who have been leading a sedentary lifestyle and are just beginning an exercise program.

* You may also want to consider a step machine. Steppers give you a great cardio-vascular workout and will help strengthen your lower body muscles.

* Cross-country ski machines and rowing machines are a great way to exercise at home. You can get a full body workout in the comfort of your own home, but be sure to try these machines before you purchase. The workout you receive with a cross-country or rowing machine can be intense and may not be suited for beginners.

* Free-weights and other resistance equipment are great for toning muscles and improving strength and require very little space.

Before you make any purchases determine which kinds of equipment will be the best for you and what your particular goals are in starting a home workout routine. Compare prices, warranties, and consumer reviews for the exercise equipment you are considering purchasing to make sure it fits your needs, your budget, and is safe for you to use.

Most types of exercise equipment that you can use in your home will work great if you use it on a regular basis. Decide what your goals are and what your budget will allow before you begin shopping for new exercise equipment and purchase the types that you will find fun and challenging to use.

Diet Energy Pill

... DIET ENERGY PILLS 120 CAPS

Author: Kathleen Howard

If you are trying to lose some extra weight, you have probably noticed how dieting really kills your energy levels. If this is the case, diet energy pills may be just the thing for you. Some pills will not only help you burn fat and lose weight, but they will keep your energy up at the same time- because nobody enjoys struggling to stay awake midafternoon.

The best diet pill that I have found to keep your energy levels high is LipoBlast Extreme Diet Pills. The pills are all natural and have not been found to cause any serious side effects in users. But I do have to warn- they are VERY effective in giving you energy. They not only contain Yerba Mate- which is similiar to caffeine, but they also contain Synephrine- which is chemically similiar to ephedra. You are probably wondering- 'So what? I'm obviously looking for extra energy'. Well, I just wanted to warn that they may make some people feel a little jittery or edgy. Unfortunately, this is a side effect of most enery pills- but you should consider those effects and ease into use so you don't overstimulate yourself and end up hating a product that you would have otherwise enjoyed.

I have found LipoBlast Extreme for sale anywhere from $40.00 to $80.00. At the moment, Amazon is offering a 90 count bottle for $39.95, which is a great deal for the product.

LipoBlast also promises to suppress your appetite and work as a thermogenic fat burner. everything considered, LipoBlast is a really effective and wonderful product that you will love if you are looking for extra energy. If you are in good health and have no heart problems, then you should definitely give LipoBlast a try. Of course, if you have any concerns or questions, ask your doctor for their opinion as well. (which you should do before trying any over the counter medication that are have questions about).

I hope you love this diet energy pill as much as I do!

Crunchless Abs - Get Six Pack Abs Without Doing Crunches or Sit-ups

Author: T Johnson

A nice set of abs is a typical fitness goal for many people who begin a diet and exercise program. And the first thing that many of these people do when they begin to carry out the exercises they think will get them to this goal is lay down on their back and do countless numbers of crunches. However, crunches are not the only way to get that defined six-pack. In fact, they are not even the preferred way to get defined abs. Traditional crunches can strain the neck, and some people with back pain can have difficulty performing them.

There are several crunchless abs exercises that one can do that will be much more effective in attaining a defined abdominal section along with benefiting your entire core strength, which includes your back. Although a proper low-fat diet plan is the other half of the formula, these exercises can help get you going in the right direction. Also, before beginning any exercise program, you should always consult your physician first.

One of the most effective crunchless abs exercise is the plank. Start by lying face down on the ground or use an exercise mat . Place your elbows and forearms underneath your chest. Prop yourself up to form a bridge using your toes and forearms Maintain a flat back and do not allow your hips to sag towards the ground. This targets the entire core, including the hips and back. Hold this position focusing on tightening your abs until you can no longer maintain a flat bridge. For beginners, start with 10 seconds, then progress as you get stronger. Return to start position. Remember to not let your hips and back sag. This exercise will only be effective if you work to maintain a flat line from your shoulders to your feet. You might want to start in front of a mirror to learn the technique.

The side plank, which is a variation of the plank discussed above, is another favorite crunchless abs. To perform the side plank exercise lie on your side with your right hand on the ground or use an exercise mat . For beginners, it is recommended to begin this exercise on your elbow. Lift yourself up to form a plank with your right arm straight and your left arm on your side. Hold this position for a 10 count, then lower to the starting position and repeat for a certain number of reps (begin with 10-15). Repeat with the other side. Remember to keep your body in a straight line, tightening your abs and glutes (butt muscles).

As you progress in your workouts, you will want to hold the positions longer to make them more challenging. You will find that the plank and side plank are both effective crunchless abs exercises that also strengthen your back and shoulders. There are modified versions of these exercises that can be incorporated to add variety to your workout.

7 Types Of Fat Burning Supplements

Table Of Contents, October ...

Author: Jimson Lee

There are many ways to burn fat:

Increase exercise and decrease food and alcohol consumption is the most obvious and safest answer.

Another idea is a “thermic diet”: a diet that increases your metabolic rate, such as consuming whey protein which requires more energy to digest than other foods

A third alternative is taking “fat burning” supplements.

With all the choices of “fat burning” supplements out there, it’s very confusing for the average consumer what the differences are. “Fat burning” supplements can be broken down into 7 categories, where the first 4 are stimulants:

1. Ephedrine and Ephedra. Ephedrine and its herbal forms Ephedra and Ma Huang are often included in supplements designed to promote fat burning and/or energy. About 5 years ago, Ephedra was in the news over the controversial death of a baseball player Steve Bechler and football player Korey Stringer during spring training. Many believe it was a combination of heat stroke, dehydration, and lack of conditioning. The results were inconclusive.

2. Caffeine and Guarana. Caffeine and its herbal form Guarana are often included in supplements designed to promote energy and/or fat burning. Caffeine is also known to suppress the appetite. Side effects include the jitters or nervousness and frequent trips to the restroom.

3. Ephedrine & Caffeine Combos. The combination of Ephedrine and Caffeine makes up the core of some popular supplements that has been proven to burn fat and while retaining lean muscle mass. The supplements below represent many variations of this popular combo or their herbal equivalents (Ephedra / Ma Huang and Guarana). Xenadrine is a popular brand in this category.

4. Synephrine Combos. The herbal form is Citrus Aurantium or Bitter Orange. These are thought to be easier on the Central Nervous System than supplements that contain ephedrine or its herbal equivalents. Synephrine is still a stimulant but is a milder alternative to ephedrine.

5. Thyroid Boosters. These are designed to preserve or increase thyroid output and increase the metabolic rate to promote fat loss stimulant free. This is an excellent alternative to supplements containing stimulants.

6. Insulin Mimickers are said to aid or act similar to insulin in order to help avoid large amounts of natural insulin from being secreted in the body - which would result in excess carbohydrates being stored as fat!

Chromium is the second best-selling mineral supplement in the United States, behind calcium. It is found in whole grains, wheat germ and nuts, and is poorly absorbed in our intestinal tract.

By combining Chromium with Picolinic Acid to create Chromium Picolinate reportedly improved absorption into the bloodstream. Evidence is currently inconclusive, and more research is required.

7. Carnitine and Actetyl-L-Carnitine. This is probably the lowest risk of the 7 types of supplements. Over 50 percent of our daily needs for Carnitine is normally supplied by the diet by meat, poultry and fish. Unless you are a vegetarian or a strict vegan, current research shows no evidence that it will reduce body fat.

Pick & choose your supplements carefully!

Treadmill Workout Tips for Weight Loss

Author: Jamie Jefferson

Treadmills are great tools to maintain a consistent and challenging exercise regimen. Treadmill workouts are safe and convenient, and you can do them any time of the day and any time of the year.

The more consistently you are able to complete your exercise program, the more successful you are going to be in your fitness and weight loss goals.

When you consistently run or walk on your treadmill, you will enjoy the benefits of good cardiovascular exercise: along with burning calories and brightening your mood, you will be making your lungs and your heart stronger, improving your muscle tone and strengthening your bones. You may also find that your appetite is suppressed after a good workout. Working out on your treadmill will exercise the major muscles and get your heart rate up, which will in turn boost your metabolism and help you lose weight.

So how do you maximize the amount of calories you burn on a treadmill? For weight loss, experts say that you will want to workout for between 30 minutes to an hour each day. You'll want to check with your doctor before you start this exercise program to find out what you heart rate you should be aiming for. You want to make sure you are working out at the intensity level that's right (and safe) for you. Many of the treadmills on the market today have heart rate monitors built right in.

If you aren't able to workout (either walking or running) for so long, start small and work your way up.

It's also a good idea to engage in interval training, in which you start out at a slower pace and no incline and then increase your speed and incline as you go, cycling through several intervals through the course of your workout. This is a great way to increase your fitness level and endurance in a relatively quick time frame.

To lose weight, you'll also need to pay special attention to your diet. Don't allow yourself to get so hungry after your workout that you replace all the calories you burned with post-workout snacks or sports drinks.

You'll also need to stay consistent with your workout. It's actually easier to schedule your workout every single day. Write it in each day on your calendar until it becomes as much a part of your routine as brushing your teeth. On that day or two each week when you are not working out, give yourself a special (non-edible) treat: a trip to the bookstore or a leisurely walk in the neighborhood with your kids.

Treadmills are also great for those of us who sometimes feel we simply don't have the time to work out. You can even watch your favorite TV shows (recorded from earlier in the week, perhaps) while you work out. Some of the new higher-end treadmills on the market today have televisions built right in. Just make sure that you are able to stay focused on a getting in a good workout, too.
